WHAT WE DO
466 Works strives to reduce the cost of housing so regular working people can purchase a new house. Our work gives people a decent place to live that they can afford and builds generational wealth.
You can see photos of our houses and the floor plans.
We focus on building house in South Bend’s Southwest neighborhood. Property values in this neighborhood have gone up xx% since xx. The Southeast neighborhood has three parks, is next to Ivy Tech Community College and not far from the Indiana University South Bend campus. It has five churches, including Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, a branch of the St. Joseph County Public Library, the United Way One Roof Center and LangLab, an arts and event space.
Come join us in rebuilding the Southeast Neighborhood.
South Bend’s historic Southeast neighborhood is bounded by Sample Street on the north, Ewing Avenue on the south, Miami Street on the east and Michigan Street on the west.
The Southeast neighborhood is home to LangLab, sports and recreation facilities at Studebaker Park and local businesses such as Super Mercado Rosales. The South Bend Fire Department and Ivy Tech Community College also have facilities in the Southeast neighborhood along with Riley High School and a diverse group of faith-based institutions.
